Just a thought

After being home for quite a while from my recent trip to china I was flipping through a surf mag and was stoked to read a surf trip story on china. And the story touched base on something that is so relevant in our sport just as much as theirs.
The fact is that china has over 1.4 billion people and produces dang well near all the soft goods and some of the hard goods we love to rip and shred on here in north America. My point, well there is no one on that continent riding the thousands of miles of wicked freeriding terrain. When I was in shenzen hanging with what seemed to be the only mountainbikers that were interested in and pursued freeriding, they all asked why I was here and I said myself and cam mcaul are headed to the gobi desert in search of the epic gnar gnar. They all looked at me and laughed well not all but most, the fact is that they were all focused on whats going on in north America and were unaware of the fruitfillness that awaits them in their own country.
The fact is that there is a insane amount of shreddable terrain in asia just awaiting the next passionate crew of hedevils to come try and tame that fiery dragon.
