Its been 6 months since the 2nd annual Bearclaw Invitational and myself and Mt. Washington are pleased to announce the date for the 3rd Bearclaw Invitational. August 23rd will be the date which is convenient for most athletes and spectators from around the world since its the weekend after crankworx in whistler.
So far the sponsors are to be determined still working on that one but i have high hopes of doing three events possibly at the mt washington resort the slopestyle, high air jump and hopefully free slalom. I will tell you more about that event when i finalize if its gonna go down or not so stay tuned for more details. I will try and do a update on the event status in a month or so

Pondering the surrounding 360-degree view, I wonder to myself; how is this all going to play out. As I always do, I pray; that all will end well and safe. I put on my goggles and when the wind fades, I take a last deep breath. I visualize what I have to do from the top to bottom. And with the crackle of my radio, I announce to my crew “dropping”. Away I go.
I start my line with an 8foot air into a steep chute; I land clean and make the time to take a couple of turns before the slope starts to get really steep. As the slope narrows and steep pens I quickly realize that the dirt tracks more like black ice. I cant slowdown, worse yet, I’m accelerating. I scan the slope for an ejection point but I can’t see one. Midway down my line and quickly approaching is a small doglegging chute veering right. I absolutely have to make this turn. Otherwise, I will be washed into, down and over the gnarly cliffs below. Read More »
After being home for quite a while from my recent trip to china I was flipping through a surf mag and was stoked to read a surf trip story on china. And the story touched base on something that is so relevant in our sport just as much as theirs.
The fact is that china has over 1.4 billion people and produces dang well near all the soft goods and some of the hard goods we love to rip and shred on here in north America. My point, well there is no one on that continent riding the thousands of miles of wicked freeriding terrain. When I was in shenzen hanging with what seemed to be the only mountainbikers that were interested in and pursued freeriding, they all asked why I was here and I said myself and cam mcaul are headed to the gobi desert in search of the epic gnar gnar. They all looked at me and laughed well not all but most, the fact is that they were all focused on whats going on in north America and were unaware of the fruitfillness that awaits them in their own country.
The fact is that there is a insane amount of shreddable terrain in asia just awaiting the next passionate crew of hedevils to come try and tame that fiery dragon.

Totally changed the look of the site. Hopefully it will work a little better than the last theme, which I didn’t like much.
Here’s the screen cast of the winner. Just because he had a stupid low score we made him prove it.
